I think it’s worth it. I was in a similar situation and just returned mine. The new one is about $300 more but it has a 1” camera sensor vs the 1/2” one in the current model. It’s also 20 REAL megapixels on the new one vs 12 (the advertised 48 MP is a bit of a gimmick) on the current model. So it’ll have better photos and video.
